Alice

Blahblahblah

There's this 6 year old boy whom I've been trying to teach the alphabet to every morning for the past 2 months. It's quite frustrating that he still cannot identify any of the letters, or even sing the alphabet song. My mom warned me that he might have a learning disability, but I've been told to just keep trying. This non-progress thing really makes me feel useless, and I don't think the boy likes me much when I'm trying to drill all those letters through his head. :/

No, he was born here, and speaks no Chinese. There are a few 5 year olds who can read difficult picture books already, but this boy doesn't know the alphabet, numbers, or colours.

I'm starting a part time job on Monday teaching a little girl how to write in English as well...
I think she's in grade 4. According to her mom, apparently she uses Manga language in her writings for school. I seriously can't wait to see in person what the mom meant LOL.
I'm supposed to go for 8 hours a day, though. =/
